A little different from what I usually paint.  Sulcatas aka. African Spur Thighed Tortoises are certainly not local to the south east.  We actually have one as a pet!  Lots of layers and rings on tortoise shells.  It's so cool to watch the rings grow and texture change on the shells.  I hope you enjoy this little guy's curious face.

*be sure add matting up to size 8x10 prints.
